Job Title: Head of Engineering
Location: Plymouth, Bristol, Leicester, Barrow-in-Furness, or Helensburgh (Hybrid Working)
Compensation: Up to £96,200 depending on experience + benefits

About the Role
Shape the future of engineering in the UK’s largest nuclear sector. As Head of Engineering, you will lead the strategic direction of engineering across Babcock’s nuclear portfolio, driving excellence in engineering management, compliance, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of Nuclear Sector Engineering Management Arrangements.
* Collaborate across Babcock globally to ensure the integrity of engineering output.
* Drive the development and application of Technical Risk Management and Product Safety Arrangements for the sector.
* Measure compliance and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
* Enhance knowledge sharing and lessons learnt across the sector.
Essential Experience
* Proven experience in high hazard or high consequence engineering environments.
* Strong engineering management background across the full product lifecycle.
* Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
* Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
* Solid understanding of change and project management principles.
Qualifications
* Degree level or higher in a STEM discipline.
* Chartered Engineer (CEng) or equivalent professional registration.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be a sole UK national able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance. National security clearance and trade control restrictions may affect eligibility based on birthplace, nationality, citizenship, and residency.
