MEICA Project Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Bias) | Affinity Water Framework
£400 – £450 per day PAYE / Outside IR35
Permanent options: £45,000 – £55,000 + Car + Package

If you’re a technically minded engineer who enjoys getting hands-on with problem-solving and seeing projects through from design to commissioning, this is worth a look.
You’ll be joining a tier-one MEICA contractor working on the Affinity Water AMP8 framework, delivering key clean water projects across the region. The business offers excellent stability, progression routes, and the flexibility to work on either a freelance or permanent basis depending on your circumstances.
The Role
• Deliver MEICA engineering support across multiple clean water projects
• Manage either the electrical or mechanical elements from design to handover
• Review technical drawings and support design and value engineering
• Coordinate closely with civils, commissioning, and client teams
• Oversee subcontractors, site progress, and ensure safety standards are met
• Assist in project planning, risk management, and technical reporting
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification
What You’ll Need
• Strong engineering background with either electrical or mechanical bias
• Experience delivering MEICA works in the water or utilities sector
• Knowledge of clean water process systems, MCCs, pumps, or ICA controls
• Confident communicator who can manage technical detail and delivery
• Competent with Microsoft Office and site documentation
• SSSTS, IOSH, or NEBOSH qualification desirable
• Full UK driving licence
