About the Role
We are seeking a Commercial Manager to provide effective commercial management and governance of SEA projects, bids, and all commercial offerings for the business area.
This role will involve working with Divisional Management, Bid and Project Managers to ensure that the business secures commercial agreements that minimise risk, maximise financial outturn (profit and cashflow), and are compliant with relevant standards and legislation.
Key Responsibilities
* Act as the primary point of contact with Customers and Subcontractors for all commercial matters relating to contracts and bids.
* Negotiate and agree Customer Contracts and other relevant commercial documents.
* Draft, negotiate, and agree sub-contracts and major or complex procurement agreements.
Requirements
* Be experienced in Local Government procurement in restricted environments.
* Previous experience in transport/rail type environment.
* Understanding of Crown Commercial Frameworks.
* Experience working within the Public Sector.
* Expert knowledge of Methods of contracting and T&Cs.
