An exciting opportunity to join the adult Medicine Pharmacy Team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust Oxford Road Campus, providing clinical pharmacy services to patients at our City Centre Hospital.
The role offers a chance to further develop your skills in a nationally renowned teaching hospital trust and work within a digitally advanced environment.
Main duties of the job
As a member of the supportive Medicine Pharmacy team, you will deliver a clinical pharmacy service across multiple medical specialties, rotating through the specialist and tertiary level services, and supporting the Medical admissions team at Oxford Road Campus. Key duties include:
* Providing medication management and clinical advice to a diverse patient population.
* Collaborating with clinical teams and communicating effectively with patients.
* Developing and leading clinical services within designated areas.
* Engaging in audit, research and continuous professional development.
* Training and supervising junior pharmacy staff and students.
Person Specification
Qualifications
* Vocational 4‑year Master’s Degree (or equivalent) in Pharmacy.
* Current registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
* Non‑Medical Prescribing Qualification.
* Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
Knowledge
* Comprehensive clinical knowledge and practical skills.
* Familiarity with national guidance (NICE, NSFs) and evidence‑based medicine.
* Awareness of current government, trust and local policies.
* Audit and research experience.
Training and experience
* Post‑registration hospital experience or equivalent documented clinical experience.
* Completion of the first year of a post‑graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.
* Specialist hospital pharmacy experience or relevant area expertise.
* Experience in delivering a clinical pharmacy service and supervising others.
* Evidence of published audit or research.
* Full completion of a post‑graduate qualification in Clinical Pharmacy.
