Job Description:
Our client a housing association are seeking a part time maintenance caretaker to join their team on a part time basis.
What we offer:
1. £13.31 per hour
2. Wednesday - Friday - 0900 -1600
3. Weekly pay
4. Holiday pay acrrue
The role:
5. To provide a safe and well maintained environment by carrying out general maintenance and caretaking duties in accordance with the needs and expectations of the customer and the business.
6. Undertake site reactive repairs and maintenance duties serving as a first point of contact for customers and working in accordance with local and legislative procedures.
7. Identify and report any potential maintenance issues which require specialist or contractor attendance to ensure a safe environment is maintained.
8. Undertake planned routine works in accordance with site requirements and within relevant regulatory frameworks providing accurate and timely information on progress and advice that is easily understood.
9. Assist in undertaking building checks and audits to ensure safe and secure environments for all stakeholders, ensuring compliance with health and safety and emergency procedures and regulations.
10. Maintain stock levels to ensure cost effectiveness and availability of supplies and equipment.
11. Deliver high quality customer service that meets the changing needs of the business and escalating any shortfalls in service delivery to senior colleagues to ensure they are dealt with appropriately.
12. Undertake waste management and cleaning in accordance with the specific site requirements and schedules.
13. Maintain accurate records and follow administrative procedures to meet organisational standards.
14. Contribute, as appropriate, to special programmes and projects in support of the Group’s objectives.
Requirements:
15. Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery.
16. Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation.
17. Practical skill in identifying and /or carrying out repairs.
18. Some experience in interpreting written instructions and maintaining simple written records.
19. Full UK driving license
20. Indate enhanced DBS - Child barring - Or on the updating service.
