Role Overview
As a supply teacher, you will be teaching in a variety of schools across the city, providing cover on a day-to-day basis in the absence of the usual class teacher. EYFS, KS1 and KS2, our schools require staff who are familiar with different year groups and can deliver pre-planned work to classes, whilst ensuring learning opportunities are enhanced, potential is fulfilled and pupils feel supported, listened to and inspired.
LocationSheffield (on-site) Salary£120 + per day (depending on experience)Hours until, Monday to Friday. Term time only Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver pre-planned lessons to the class
2. Lead enriching activities that promote creativity and discovery
3. Manage behaviour positively in line with the schools policies
4. Ensure students stay on task andplete assigned work
5. Follow school policies and procedures, including safeguarding and health & safety
6. Liaise with parents, school staff, and external agencies
7. Record student progress and report any concerns to school staff
8. Leave feedback for the regular teacher about the day’s activities and student behaviour
Requirements
9. QTS or be an ECT working towards this
10. Minimum 20 days of experience working with young people within the last 2 years
11. Ideally holds a DBS registered on the Update Service (we can support a new application if needed)
12. A warm, energetic personality that children gravitate toward
13. Strong leadership and organisational skills
14. A proactive approach to problem-solving and team support
15. A genuine passion for creating joyful, safe spaces for children
