Production Manager We are recruiting an experienced Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations within a fast-paced production environment. This role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and high-quality output while driving team performance and continuous improvement. The Role: Lead and develop production teams to achieve daily and shift-based production targets. Translate production plans into effective shift and line schedules, ensuring optimal use of labour and resources. Drive performance against key KPIs including efficiency, yield, waste, downtime, and labour utilisation. Ensure full compliance with food safety, quality, and hygiene standards (e.g. BRCGS, GMP). Promote a strong health & safety and food safety culture across all shifts. Work closely with Technical, Quality, Engineering, Planning, and Supply Chain functions to ensure smooth operations. Investigate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions. Lead daily production meetings and communicate operational performance. Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste. Support automation, process improvement, and new equipment implementation projects. Recruit, train, and manage supervisors and production operatives, including performance and attendance management. About You: Proven experience as a Production Manager or Senior Production Supervisor within food manufacturing or FMCG. Strong understanding of food safety, quality systems, and industry standards. Experience working in high-volume or fast-paced manufacturing environments. Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills. Confident using KPIs and production reporting systems. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Good working knowledge of health & safety legislation.
