Position Summary
Genesis is seeking an experienced Project Manager for our engineering consulting firm in one of multiple offices to lead multi-discipline engineering and capital project efforts from concept through execution. This role is responsible for managing scope, schedule, budget, and coordination across internal teams, clients, and contractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage engineering and capital projects from front-end planning through detailed design and execution support
2. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle
3. Develop and manage project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans
4. Coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams (process, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, piping, structural, automation)
5. Track project progress, manage change orders, and mitigate risks
6. Ensure compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, and applicable codes and regulations
7. Review and approve engineering deliverables, vendor documents, and contractor inputs
8. Support procurement activities, including vendor selection and equipment specification reviews
9. Lead project meetings, prepare status reports, and present updates to clients and leadership
10. Support construction and commissioning activities as required
Required Qualifications
11. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or technical related field
12. 5+ years of project management experience within an engineering, EPC, or industrial consulting environment
13. Experience managing industrial or manufacturing projects (life sciences, food & beverage, chemical, or advanced manufacturing preferred)
14. Strong understanding of engineering design processes and project controls
15. Proficiency with project scheduling and reporting tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, or similar)
16. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
Preferred Qualifications
17. PMP certification or equivalent project management training
18. Experience working in regulated environments (FDA, GMP, cGMP)
19. Familiarity with capital project execution, equipment installation, and construction coordination
20. Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
