Ceredigion County Council Targeted Care & Enablement Team are recruiting. We would love to hear from you if you would like a career supporting individuals to regain their skills and independence following acute illness or injury. This is an interesting and varied role which involves activities of daily living such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation and medication in the client’s own home. We require one support worker to work split shifts on a 4 days on / 4 days off rolling rota (7 am – 1 pm & 4 pm – 8 pm). The service is Occupational Therapists‑led with client‑centred goals to regain as much independence as possible. You will also be required to cover long‑term bridging while awaiting a package, expanding your skills and knowledge. Your workload is provided via an electronic call monitoring system and you will be expected to manage your time effectively and keep to the prescribed schedule.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Full driving licence, car and ability to travel within the County.
* All Wales Induction Framework (AWIF) for Health and Social Care completed within the first six months of employment to enable registration as a Social Care Worker with Social Care Wales.
* Level 2 QCF in health and social care or equivalent.
* Welsh language – verbal level 3 (basic conversational Welsh). Reasonable support can be provided on appointment to reach this level.
