Finance Assistant/ Accounts Payable/ Accounts Receivable/ Bank Reconciliations/ Hybrid Working (3 Days WFH after Training)/ Study Support/ Career Development/ Enhanced Benefits Forge Talent have partnered with a leading service provider to support with a newly created opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join their high performing, friendly and inclusive Finance Team. This position will support the business in a varied capacity and will grow and develop in line with the organisations continued success. This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated and ambitious candidate with previous exposure to Accounts Payable and Receivable processes, looking to develop their career further. Study support is available in addition to an enhanced benefits and flexible working programme. Finance Assistant Responsibilities: Responsible for the accurate recording of incoming revenue for multiple business sites. Proactively raising and posting a high volume of invoices to the ledger Supporting with consumer-based credit control as required. Processing of daily, weekly and monthly supplier payment runs inline with agreed terms. Processing monthly cash and bank reconciliations, rectifying any unmatching amounts accordingly. Preparing and processing journals Assisting the finance teams as required to ensure monthly accounts are completed in a timely manner, providing correspondence and chasing missing documentation as required. Working closely with the shared service centre finance team to provide prompt and effective customer and supplier query resolution. Supporting any Finance Team projects as required. Finance Assistant Required Skills and Experience: Previous experience in a Finance Admin or Finance Assistant capacity with exposure to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes. Problem solving and query resolution skills with the ability to liaise with multiple departments to effectively and promptly reach suitable solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build and develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. A customer focussed and service driven approach to managing relationships with internal and external customers. A positive, proactive and motivated approach to tasks and duties, with a desire to advance further within an accounting career path. A high degree of attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritise tasks and duties to meet time sensitive deadlines. Strong computerised systems and Excel skills. Previous use of Xero is highly advantageous, although not essential. The ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively as part of a large Finance Team. The desire to pursue or continue AAT studies.
