Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School and nursery is situated in the small village of Pumpherston and are located in the Primary School building. We have a range of full-time and half-day placements, and the nursery is open 50 weeks per year, and staff work flexibly across the opening hours, which are Monday to Thursday 7.45am until 6.15pm. Staff working flexibily across the opening hours on a rota.
A vacancy has arisen for an enthusiastic pupil support worker to join our well-established team within Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School ELC. Within Pumpherston and Uphall Station Community Primary School ELC we offer a wide and varied curriculum with play at the centre. We benefit from two large outdoor spaces which we are hoping to further develop.
This position requires registration with the SSSC. The successful candidate will have six months from the date of commencement of this post to become registered with the SSSC. SSSC stipulate you must submit your application within three months of your start date. If you are already registered with SSSC you will be required to add West Lothian Council to your account
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act. From 28 February preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council
