Job Description: Electroplating Technician Location: Hayes Schedule: Full-time, 4 on / 4 off shift pattern Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electroplating Technician to join Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services in Hayes. This role involves working within a regulated environment, supporting surface treatment processes, and ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards. Full training on our Integrated Quality Management System (IQ Move) will be provided. Key Responsibilities Operate in accordance with the Lufthansa Technik Landing Gear Services Integrated Quality Management System (IQ Move) Interpret and follow process standards, technical drawings, and company job cards Handle materials using workshop gantry cranes and slings Prepare components for electroplating, including masking techniques Perform surface preparation using grit blasting (experience preferred but not essential) Carry out a range of electroplating processes, including: Cadmium and Dalic Cadmium plating Nickel plating Hard chrome plating Alocrom treatment Nital etch (acid etch inspection) Heat treatment of components Complete all work to technical specifications and quality standards Adhere to Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations Maintain awareness of environmental considerations within the electroplating industry Keep a Practical Experience Record (PER) of completed tasks Support traini...
