Position Overview:

At Fortress Diagnostics, we seek a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant proficient in SAP accounting software to join our team. The Accounts Assistant will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including processing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports, and supporting the organisation's overall financial operations.

Duties include:

* As part of a team, to be responsible for processing supplier & customer invoices
* Bank Reconciliations
* Maintenance of multiple bank accounts in 3 currencies including month end bank reconciliations
* Purchase Ledger invoice processing
* Reconciling delivery notes and purchase orders to invoices received
* Purchase Ledger statement reconciliations
* Maintaining the Sales Ledger Control account
* Support with balance sheet reconciliations and credit card statements.
* Credit management, chasing late payments
* Reconciling company accounts
* Statement reconciliations
* VAT return
* Sending and paying invoices
* Assisting with account management and record-keeping
* Assist in the preparation of the month-end and end-of-year accounts
* Maintaining customer information
* Responding efficiently to queries
* Other ad hoc duties as required to support the finance function.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or in a similar role.
* Proficiency in using Sage accounting software (SAP).
* Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
* Solid understanding of financial systems and processes
* Strong analytical skills to evaluate financial data and make recommendations
* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
* Good organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
* Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other office software applications.
* Solid written and verbal communication skills.
