Role description:
We are recruiting a Project Manager for Education projects across Northern England. This role involves project management and contract administration, with successful candidates overseeing projects from inception to completion and handover.
Day-to-day, Project Managers are responsible for progressing school projects according to client requirements and responsible bodies' standards (operators for schools).
Role accountabilities:
As a Project Manager, you will own a set of projects, responsible for advancing them according to the development program. You will coordinate with the client-side team and specialists through main project stages, including:
* Leading and producing feasibility studies
* Managing contractors through pre-contract processes to contract award
* Overseeing works to ensure compliance with standards (supported by Clerk of Works)
* Ensuring quality control of contractor work
* Certifying works are compliant and complete
Qualifications & Experience:
* Experience in education construction projects is desirable
* Experience in other public sector construction projects is essential if no education experience
* Experience in consultancy environment is desirable
* MAPM or equivalent qualification
