Main Duties:

* Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
* Support the accounting team in daily financial tasks
* Performing data entry and ensuring the accuracy of financial information.
* Preparing, checking and posting journals.
* Preparing self-evident balance sheet reconciliations
* Resolving reconciling items in a timely manner
* Prepare supporting evidence for and respond to audit queries
* Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
* Learn and apply accounting principles and practices under the guidance of management accountants.
What You Bring:

Key Competencies and Skills:
* Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
* Exposure to a large ERP system, preferably SAP.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Able to build positive working relationships across finance teams and business units
* Eagerness to learn and develop accounting skills.
* Adaptable to changing priorities based on business requirements
* Ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet tight deadlines
Education and Experience:
* GCSE strong pass in Mathematics & English (or equivalents)
* Pursuing or having completed coursework in accounting or finance is a plus.
