Conduct V&V activities throughout the project lifecycle, including: Analysis and Review Systems requirements and acceptance criteria Support Test Planning and Estimation/Sizing activities, including physical test environment design and setup Creation and update of Test Specifications to support in V&V activities Support in preparation and delivery of Systems Engineering Test Readiness Reviews in accordance with project schedule Execution of Test Specifications at the respective level of test in accordance with the Test Plan and Schedule Support automation of test activities, which may include development of tools and simulators, development of the automated test framework, and the creation and execution of automated tests Investigate defects as they arise to support in their swift resolution Support in identification, execution and formal recording of Type Approval related test activities Support Witness Testing activities conducted by Notified Body and External Test Houses Coordinate with other engineering functions and help solve problems as they arise Prepare for and support Product Release activities in accordance with project schedule, including creation of the final Test Report Technical Skills Strong experience of System Engineering Verification and Validation. Able to develop testing processes and methods Able to develop technical documents and training materials to support new functionality and product releases An interest in the use cases and applications for the products we design and build Specialist Knowledge Experience in use of Atlassian toolset (JIRA, Xray, Confluence). Experience of automated test scripting (preferably in Python) All round engineering aptitude, with software and hardware test experience. Preferably in Marine but other engineering disciplines (e.g. Automotive, Aerospace) are acceptable. Experience of testing in a safety critical or regulated industry (E.g. Marine, Automotive, Aerospace, Rail, etc.) Degree-qualified in a STEM subject Personal Characteristics Analytic & interdisciplinary thinking with an interest in complex tasks Able to work with people effectively at all levels, using well-developed influencing and interpersonal skills Able to deal with internal and external customers in a professional way, both in person, over the phone and by email Is a team player, and can create, develop and maintain productive working relationships If you are an experienced Senior Systems Test Engineer and feel you have the desired skills and experience which would enable you to hit the ground running, please apply to find out more information about this exciting opportunity.
