Applicants are invited to work on an exciting Action Medical Research UK funded 2 year project using iPSC derived neurons to investigate FGF12 related epilepsies. This project has the potential to evolve into further projects investigating novel therapies for rare genetic epilepsies. We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to join our team in a world-leading children’s research institute. Post is available from June 25 to August 27 in the first instance.
About you
The candidate will have an undergraduate degree/MSc in a relevant field, high quality academic research with good working knowledge of methods mentioned in Job Description, experience of sterile cell culture methods, particularly induced pluripotent stem cell culture and experience of electrophysiology methods such as patch clamping or multi-electrode arrays. Publications in preparation or already published in top internationally refereed journals and public presentation of research (posters, oral presentations) at international scientific meetings are desirable.
