Main duties of the job

What you'll be responsible for:

* Assessing and monitoring patient conditions
* Checking symptoms and vital signs and arranging diagnostic tests
* Displaying excellent analytical ability and sound decision making in changing clinicalsituations
* Working as an effective team member and promoting team and interdisciplinaryrelationships
* The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.

Job responsibilities

Job Title: - Registered Nurse - Accident and Emergency

Trust:Royal Devon University Healthcare Trust

Location: - Main sites are Royal Devon (Wonford Hospital) Exeter and North Devon District Hospital Barnstaple, other areas are Exmouth/Sidmouth/Honiton/Tiverton.

Shift Patterns:7:30am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 12:30pm, 9am to 5pm, 12:30pm to 8:30pm, 3:30pm to 8:30pm, 8pm to 8am

What you'll need:

* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an Accident & Emergency hospital environment within the last 3 years
* Comply with NMC Professional Registration and keep up to date with current nursing practices

*Depending on the Trust, you may require variable additional certification and skills.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* All Registered Nurse roles will be required to provide evidence of :-
* Statement of NMC Registration
* Degree /Diploma in Nursing


Experience

* A minimum of 6 months paid experience in an A&E hospital environment within the last 3 years.
