The project: Mace provide PMO services (project controls, planning and scheduling, risk and digital (BIM)) to the aviation sector and mobility market commissions. The role holder collaborates with the project and programme managers to implement and follow project management methodologies, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The 4D Specialist is responsible for developing 4D models at various stages, establishing and maintaining the 4D model to prove both the design and programme represent the sequence of works on the Project, highlighting physical and time clashes alongside opportunities. Transformation, optimisation, and organisation of limited design team models into flexible and constructable objects for planning use (with direct integration if possible). Creation of logistics, land use and temporary works 3D models. Creation of constructable permanent works 3D models from limited design information. Assisting in the integration of plans and sketches provided by contractors and suppliers. Creating reoccurring lookahead visual outputs for team briefings and reports. Run ‘what if’ scenarios within 4D environment against baseline models to identify programme risks and opportunities. Providing visual validation of construction timelines to support assurance reviews. Training and upskilling the planning team in the use of Synchro and associated planning related considerations for optimal and efficient 4D Modelling. Contributing to knowledge sharing and training, helping to develop project management skills and capabilities across the organisation. Providing guidance and support to project and program managers, ensuring they have the necessary resources and tools to succeed. Developing 4D modelling guidelines and assurance checklists. Ensuring alignment with PMO standards, governance frameworks, and digital delivery strategies. Performing additional tasks, activities or other duties as may be required or assigned as part of the role. You’ll need to have: You will have experience of planning on large, complex £100m plus projects with excellent knowledge of Synchro, Autodesk package, AutoCAD, Sketch Up, Primavera, 3Ds Max, Revit, Bentley's OpenBuilding Designer, or Microstation. You will Also have a great understanding of construction methodology and logistics, planning technique, 5D and 6D for addition to the created models; and technology integration and data processes. LI-On-site · 10 years’ experience in scheduling and 4D modelling activities and a proven track record of handling such activities in high value infrastructure / aviation / rail projects or projects of a similar scale / complexity. · Previous experience in a similar role. Key Skills\:- · Synchro 4D Pro user. · Working knowledge of 3DS Max or other advanced 3D modelling package. · Broad knowledge of conversion and treatment of a range of design models. · Good working knowledge of scheduling (implications and logic-based sequencing). · Knowledge of design and design management and the relevant process and governance structures. · Integration and interface management with multiple stakeholders. · Interrogation of the live 4D model & ability to provide detailed feedback to concerned stakeholders for solving or mitigation. · Knowledge of exporting and handling P6 schedule information for onward 4D use. · Passion driven – Sense of belonging, aligned to vision and programme ideology · Strong presentation creation skills including still images and video output. · Ability to effectively engage with and manage relationships with various stakeholders, including customers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. · Familiarity with document management systems (DMS), databases, and software such as Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or specialised document control software. · Excellent verbal and written communication skills to facilitate clear and consistent dialogue between all parties involved. · Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and ensure cohesive project delivery. · Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements and environments. · Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and relate to individuals and groups – both technical and non-technical. · Analytically minded with strong internal curiosity and problem-solving. · Ability to govern and drive outcomes to ensure high quality service · Project experience of process driven workflows (formal and informal). · Advanced/Experienced 3D Modelling capabilities. · Advanced Synchro 4D Pro operator experience is advantageous. · Experience of creating 4D Models from scratch. · Extensive experience in construction methodologies and techniques is advantageous. · Experience in Adobe graphical and video products is preferred · Experience in quality assurance processes to ensure that project deliverables meet the required standards.
