You will need to be enthusiastic, have great people skills, and a positive and proactive approach to your role, supporting individuals with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health and complex needs.
Where you'll be working
Rosedale House - Swindon. This is a 7-bed supported living service for ladies with mental health support needs. The service supports the individuals to live within the community and gain essential life skills around activities of daily living to enable them to move on to more independent living in the future. Offering supported living, encouraging and enabling people to live as independently as possible within their own homes and accessing the local community & facilities. We are looking for support workers with mental health experience to join our amazing team, to continue delivering outstanding outcomes.
Responsibilities
* Encouraging people to play active roles in the communities in which they live, to encourage independence.
* Supporting activities of daily living including social activities, personal care, routines, planning and preparation of meals and budgeting.
* Communicating effectively using people’s chosen methods.
* Engaging—promoting and motivating people we support to enhance their quality of life.
* Specialising in supporting people who may need positive behavioural support approaches.
* Recording—keeping accurate records and reporting changes in health or circumstances of service users to management.
