Role Overview

Join NHS Fife to work within a team of like‑minded individuals at the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy. Our inpatient teams thrive on exposure to a diverse range of patients that invites assessment, treatment & discharge planning across a number of different teams including Respiratory (HDU and ICU), Orthopaedics (trauma, hip fracture, day surgery and elective), General medicine and Care of the Elderly Medicine, Acute Stroke and the Front Door Frailty Team. You will rotate through each of these teams. The post remit includes participation in MDT working, clinical audit, in‑service training, staff and student supervision.
Responsibilities
* Rotate through the Respiratory, Orthopaedic, General Medicine, Care of the Elderly Medicine, Acute Stroke and Frailty teams.
* Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) working, clinical audit and in‑service training.
* Provide staff and student supervision.
* Attend practice educator and supervision training to support professional development.
* Remain on the respiratory on‑call rota covering overnight on‑calls and weekend working.
* Engage in leadership development and quality improvement projects offered in‑house.
* Provide training and induction to new staff as required.
Qualifications
We are looking for initiative and drive for continually improving, safe, effective care. Applicants must have a broad range of knowledge and experience in managing common and complex inpatient presentations and complex discharge planning.
