Agile Delivery Manager - Permanent - Hybrid
We are working with our insurance group client in their search for an Agile Delivery Manager to lead autonomous squads in developing high-quality software aligned with business priorities. The role focuses on coaching teams in Agile principles, fostering self-organisation, collaboration, and continuous improvement to create a culture of growth and innovation.
This will be mainly a remote position with travel around once a month to either Manchester or Stoke-on-Trent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Coach squads on Agile processes, encouraging self-organisation and continuous improvement.
2. Remove obstacles, optimise workflows, and ensure Agile methodologies are applied effectively.
3. Collaborate with Product Owners and Project Managers to prioritise and manage work across squads.
4. Promote a growth mindset, ensuring a high level of motivation and performance within the team.
5. Track and report squad progress to key stakeholders, ensuring alignment with timelines and business goals.
6. Communicate and negotiate with Product Owners and key stakeholders to manage delivery expectations, prioritise User Stories, allocate resources, and resolve issues efficiently to ensure smooth delivery pipeline.
7. Support change delivery by reviewing, monitoring, and reporting progress against IT work-stream plans.
Requirements:
1. Expert in Agile methodologies and experience in coaching teams
2. Excellent communication, facilitation, and servant leadership skills
3. Proven experience in a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Manager role
4. Confident with Jira and other Agile tools, including various Agile frameworks
5. Experience leading teams to maturity and facilitating large-scale planning
Desirable:
1. Agile certifications (e.g., Scrum Master, Scaled Agile Framework)
2. Insurance or Financial services background
