The Opportunity The Technology Adoption Manager has a unique blend of business and technical experience and skills to lead and facilitate Manatt's digital adoption activities. The role collaborates with the Firm's legal and business professionals to enable positive transitions to the latest technology and to maximize work productivity in existing systems. The Technology Adoption Manager builds partnerships between the business leaders and technologists - to help leaders and their teams appreciate the value and benefits of technology and to help technologists understand the needs and challenges of the business to provide better solutions. The role will help manage technology changes so that the legal and business stakeholders not only understand and advocate the change, but that their impacted teams implement new business processes and working practices as needed and acquire the necessary skills to use the new systems. The Technology Adoption Manager reports to the PMO and Client Services Director on the Information Technology (IT) team. Responsibilities: Work with client-facing teams in a fast-paced environment to foster effective and efficient adoption of new tool and processes, among the various legal and business practices at Manatt. Author and manage the change management and communication plans for projects impacting the work of legal and business professionals. Develop change management and adoption processes utilized by Information Technology (IT) to ensure the consistency of the business change management approach and activities across the different IT initiatives. Identify possible resistance or challenges to the technology change and prepare risk mitigation strategies. Collaborate with Project Managers to gather and document requirements of client-facing technologies, technologies used by legal and business professionals or technologies that impact their practice and client services. Partner with the training, professional development, and marketing teams to offer training opportunities and create promotional materials such as brochures, video, communications, and tutorials to aid in the adoption of new technologies. Using data-driven methodology, track the success of change and adoption initiatives, report metrics to leadership. Keep abreast of new approaches and tools in digital adoption. Qualifications: Minimum 7 years' experience working in the IT section of a large law firm or other professional services organization. Exceptional verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Strong knowledge of project management, business analysis, and change management processes. Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Experience in business change and technology adoption management for large scale technology efforts. Ability to influence others to gain their support for change, across numerous and diverse teams. Ability to engage and manage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Diplomatic and persuasive with an ability to handle difficult conversations and confidently manage stakeholders in all levels across the Firm. Work with content owners to evangelize the tools, training, and best practices. Expert knowledge in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Planner, MS Forms, document management systems. Solid technical background with understanding of Active Directory, Database Systems, Networking, support of Windows-based workstations, Mobile devices, and Web technologies. Knowledge of the applications, development, and business partners in legal technology. This position may require travel. The base annual pay range for this role is between $150,000-$160,000. The base pay to be offered will vary and depend on skills and qualifications, experience, location and will also take into account internal equity.
