Manufacturing Assembly & Integration Engineer Lead
On behalf of our client, we are recruiting a Manufacturing Assembly & Integration Engineer Lead on an initial 12‑month contract basis. The role focuses on ensuring that our products are built efficiently and within budget, supporting multi‑project manufacturing as a key member of the Manufacturing Engineering team.

Contract: Monday to Friday, 37 hours per week, 12 months
IR35 Status: Inside
SC Clearance: SC (BPSS available)
Responsibilities
- Compile and update Manufacturing Instructions
- Design, commission and prove associated tooling
- Support the industrial validation process using FMEA, FAI and related methods
- Resolve technical problems arising during manufacturing
- Implement route card changes as a result of rework activities
- Manage configuration control by embedding design modifications into Manufacturing Instructions
- Support the Non‑Conformance Process using SAP
Qualifications
- Formal technical Engineering/Craft Apprenticeship to NVQ Level 3/TR23/TR21, or level 3 (ONC)
- Formal further education certificate to HNC or equivalent with experience in an engineering discipline
- Minimum 5 years' experience within an engineering discipline
- Ability to interpret design drawings and produce Manufacturing Build Instructions for both skilled and semi‑skilled operators
- Experience in electronic sub‑assembly manufacture through to system level builds
- Knowledge of assembly processes for small/miniature electro‑mechanical actuation systems
- Team‑work skills and the ability to work within and contribute to a team environment
- Customer‑focused mindset and responsiveness to requirements
- Adherence to company processes and procedures
- Effective communication across all levels of the organisation
