Job Description
We are looking for a Space Systems Engineer to join our growing team based in Bath, United Kingdom.
You'll be assisting our UK business across a range of space endeavours, including launch activities, PNT (Position, Navigation, Timing), ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance), and payload projects. Additionally, you'll support operations such as ground system services and space situational awareness (SSA). Furthermore, you'll play a role in conducting high-impact studies and contributing to service support programs.
Tasks and Activities
The scope of work will include:
* Delivering demanding and complex engineering projects across our space programmes.
* Support in delivering high-quality, competitive proposals in response to customer Invitations to Tender (ITTs) or Requests for Proposal (RFP).
* Raising and maintaining the company’s reputation with our customers.
* Supporting developing and growing existing networks.
Skills and Experience
The following skills and experience are mandatory:
* At least 3 years of demonstrated professional experience in a similar market.
* Ability to support and deliver complex space projects in a team environment.
* Awareness of European Space Agency (ESA) and CubeSat standards.
* System engineering experience (e.g. SysML).
* Software programming experience (e.g. Python, C/C++).
* Hardware experience (e.g. embedded processors, communications, RF systems).
* Conscientious and keen to learn.
* Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills.
* Clear and effective communication skills.
* Strong work ethic.
* Eligibility for Government SC Clearance.
The following skills and experience would be highly desirable:
* Knowledge or experience of navigation (PNT), ISR, space situational awareness (SSA), ground segment services.
* Previous experience working with CubeSats.
