Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with an inclusive all-through special school in Harrow, which caters for children and young people aged 4-19 with complex physical and learning needs. The school is seeking a Complex Needs Teaching Assistant to join their team from September.
The Role
As a Complex Needs TA, you will support pupils across primary and secondary phases with a range of physical disabilities, medical conditions, and learning difficulties. The role includes one-to-one and small group work, as well as assistance with personal care, mobility, and feeding. You will work closely with teachers, therapists, and healthcare staff to ensure each child receives the care, encouragement, and individualised support they need to access their learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
1. Experience supporting pupils with complex needs or within a special school environment
2. A calm, respectful, and supportive approach
3. Confidence assisting with personal care and manual handling (training can be provided)
4. Excellent teamwork and communication skills
5. Resilience, patience, and a genuine desire to help pupils thrive
6. Full-time availability from September 2025
