Registered Mental Health Nurse - Adult Acute Chebsey Ward
We are offering an exciting opportunity to join our Acute Mental Health Ward as a Band 5 Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) based at St Georges Hospital, Stafford.
We provide inpatient facilities for working-age adults with acute mental health problems. We are looking for caring, compassionate individuals to work within our acute service, committed to providing high-quality care and treatment to our patients. This role requires working on a 24/7 shift rota to meet service needs.
You will, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary team, provide nursing interventions to support patients in meeting their goals, coordinate and/or participate in reviews of progress, using recommended outcome measures, involving the service user and carers throughout the clinical pathway.
As part of this role, you will be expected to:
1. Assess care needs and contribute to formulating and developing relevant care plans based on negotiated goals and evidence-based interventions.
2. Deliver high-quality clinical services to patients and their families.
3. Ensure the safe custody of all patients, including supervision within the hospital, grounds, and community as required.
4. Act as named nurse for a group of patients under supervision, maintaining continuing responsibility.
5. Participate in therapeutic group work programmes.
6. Take charge of the ward in the absence of the ward manager and deputy ward manager.
