About the Role As a key member of the Campus Security team, you'll help deliver a professional, customer-focused service that prioritizes the safety of our staff, students, residents, and visitors, as well as the protection of University property. You'll be a visible and proactive presence on campus—ensuring a welcoming, safe, and secure environment by being approachable, alert, and responsive. Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular patrols of designated areas in all weather conditions to deter and detect security risks, ensuring all access points are secure. Operate University vehicles to transport staff, students, and visitors as required. Respond to emergencies and security incidents, including providing first aid and welfare support. Monitor CCTV systems and coordinate patrols and incident responses. Handle a range of challenging situations, enquiries, and complaints professionally and calmly, working to resolve issues where possible. Additional Information
Pay Grade: Grade 4 (£25,733-£26,942) Additional Pay: Annual shift premium: £7,200; Contractual shift allowance: £1,870-£2,013 Working Hours
You'll work a rotating shift pattern of 12-hour shifts: 4 days on, 4 days off, alternating between days and nights. Shifts include weekends, nights, and public holidays. How to Apply
