Your new role
As Senior Multi‑Site Estates Manager, you will take full operational responsibility for estates maintenance services across multiple sites, leading multidisciplinary teams and managing aplex portfolio of buildings, engineering systems, infrastructure and grounds.
Reporting to the Head of Estates and professionally accountable to the Director of Estates, you will ensure the safe, effective andpliant delivery of planned and reactive maintenance services, balancing performance, cost control and statutory obligations.
Your key responsibilities include:
1. Operational leadership of estates maintenance across multiple sites, ensuringpliance with organisational standards, HTMs, HSE guidance and statutory legislation
2. Accountability for maintenance performance, productivity, quality and financial control, including delegated budgets and cost improvement targets.
3. Acting as Authorised or Responsible Person (AP/RP) across technical disciplines such as medical gases, water safety, electrical safety, ventilation and decontamination.
4. Driving continuous improvement, service development and performance optimisation through CAFM systems and KPI management.
5. Providing expert technical and professional advice to senior leaders and stakeholders.
6. Leading on-site emergency response and participating in the estates on‑call rota.
7. Contributing to estates strategy, risk management, business continuity planning and capital project handovers.
This is a senior operational leadership role requiring visibility on site, strong stakeholder engagement and the ability to lead throughplexity. The role will be based in Shropshire for 4-5 days each week.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, credible and performance‑driven estates professional with significant experience inplex operational environments.You will bring:
8. Extensive senior‑level experience in estates operations, ideally within healthcare or similarly regulated environments.
9. Proven experience managing multi‑site estates portfolios and multidisciplinary maintenance teams.
10. Strong working knowledge of statutorypliance, HTMs, ACoPs, HSE guidance and risk management.
11. Experience acting as an Authorised or Responsible Person across one or more estates disciplines.
12. A track record of managing budgets, contractors and service performance within tighternance frameworks.
13. Excellent leadership,munication and stakeholder management skills.
14. A proactive, improvement‑focused mindset with the ability to inspire, motivate and empower teams.
15. High levels of professionalism, resilience and flexibility, including participation in on‑call arrangements.
