Salary: £24,909 - £25,116 (pro-rata for part-time and sessional)
Hours: up to 27.5 per week, 39 weeks sessional

Gracemount High School was built under PPP and opened in 2003. The school's leadership team comprises the Head Teacher, three Depute Head Teachers, a Senior Development Officer, and a Business Manager. We have a team of 50 teaching staff and 20 support staff.
We are a successful and thriving school community serving a socially diverse population. Over 70% of our students live in quintile 1 and 2 of the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation. We are proud of our students and our staff are skilled, conscientious, and caring.

We are looking for conscientious, committed candidates with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. You will work as part of a team with many training opportunities to support your work with children and young people. Previous experience in a school setting is desirable. Pupil Support Assistants work across the Integrated Support Provision, supporting pupils at all levels of ability and stages.
Note: Please read the sessional working information attached to this advert. It explains how salaries are calculated for sessional (term time) and part-time posts. PSAs do not work during the 12 weeks of school holidays; however, total salary is paid in 12 equal monthly payments over the year.
This post involves regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will need to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If you have spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. Employment is conditional upon satisfactory pre-employment checks.

Our salary range generally reflects the starting salary, with annual increases until the top of the range is reached.
