Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Mid Sussex
GBP75,000 + Car Allowance + Package
Overview:
As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, youll take commercial responsibility for managing projects from inception to final account within a well:established Generalist Building Contractor in Sussex. This client has been established for many years and undertakes a variety of generalist projects including Healthcare, Education, Commercial, and Residential, valued up to GBP15m. This is an important role within a respected local contractor, offering the chance to work on diverse schemes.
Responsibilities:
* Reporting to the Commercial Manager.
* Administration and commercial management of projects from procurement to final account, across a variety of sectors (Healthcare, Education, Commercial, Residential).
* Production of monthly Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), financial forecasts, and cost reports.
* Management and negotiation of variations, claims, and final accounts with subcontractors and the client.
* Assisting in the production and issue of commercial notices to both the Client and Subcontractors.
* Working to maintain profit and margin targets across assigned projects.
Requirements:
* Experience working for a Generalist Building Contractor as a Senior Quantity Surveyor or Project Quantity Surveyor is preferred.
* Ability to manage and commercially control multiple projects or packages at one time.
* Experience across a variety of sectors such as Healthcare, Education, Commercial, or Residential is beneficial.
* Good contractual knowledge and negotiation skills.
* Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a relevant construction discipline.
