This role is an initial 12 month contract.
Working closely with the Head of Business Development and the Marketing and Business Development Director, you will take a lead role in implementing and managing business development initiatives across the Firm.
The role requires a confident and enthusiastic team player with the ability to manage multiple projects and work with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
This is a varied role which supports and drives the Firm’s approach to business development activities. You will work closely with the Marketing and Business Development Director, Head of Business Development, Partners and fee earners across all offices, services and practice groups, as well as the Chosen Markets and Client Service Cornerstones. Reporting directly to the Head of Business Development, you will manage a range of activities, including:
1. Client listening – Collaborate with external consultants to manage client listening strategies, gain insights into client relationships, and adapt to changing client needs. Use insights to enhance the client experience and inform strategic decisions.
2. Intermediaries Program – Assist in managing the firm’s Intermediaries Program to strengthen key relationships, drive referrals, and implement best practices across the firm.
3. Targeting – Coordinate with Partners, Office Heads, and Practice Group Leaders to define and execute targeting strategies.
4. Key client care – Support Partners in developing and refining Key Client Care Plans, enhancing relationship management, and improving service delivery.
5. Participate in marketing and business development meetings, providing updates on initiatives.
6. Collaborate on business development projects with the wider team.
7. Support the tenders team during busy periods with tender submissions.
8. Manage and follow up on website inquiries.
HYBRID:
The role can be based in any of the clients' offices, with an agile policy allowing up to three days per week working from home.
The role requires:
* Degree preferred but not essential
* Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in business development within professional services, accounting, or financial sectors
* Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills
* Exceptional attention to detail
* Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and committed
* Ability to work independently and collaboratively
* Excellent project management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft 365, CRM, InDesign, and data management in Excel
