Our client, based in North London, is currently recruiting for a Building Surveyor on a 3-month temporary contract. The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The daily rate is £300 per day via an umbrella company. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in identifying and managing damp and mould issues, with a strong understanding of HHSRS, alongside a solid focus on delivering day-to-day repairs. Duties will include (but are not limited to): To undertake full property inspections and detailed condition reports across all work streams including Complex Repairs, damp and mould, complaints, insurance and pre-action protocol To manage all on-site coordination, control, quality and completion of all maintenance projects, including Insurance / Disrepair / Reactive works / Response Repairs Monitor and supervise the progress and quality of works Liaise with the Contractor’s, loss adjusters and supervisory personnel to ensure the works are delivered on time and to required quality Undertake full property inspections and produce detailed condition reports across all work streams, with consideration of damp and mould risks and HHSRS compliance Manage on-site coordination, control, quality, and completion of maintenance projects, ensuring damp and mould issues are addressed in line with health and safety standards Experience required: Property surveying role, site inspector or quality manager role in the property/housing sector Demonstrable previous experience of writing in depth inspection reports, preparing schedule of works and programming and project management responsibility Skills, knowledge and expertise required: Excellent current knowledge of housing law and regulations (E.g. Awaab’s Law) Ability to make concise factual reports both verbally and in writing and produce detailed specifications Able to build positive relationships with customers that have had cause to complain Working hours: 35 hours per week Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm Please note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.
