Job Title: Early Years Room Leader
Location: Atherton, Greater Manchester
Pay Rate: £89.44 - £100 (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Temporary, with full-time and part-time roles available
Teaching Personnel are working closely with a caring and supportive nursery in Atherton who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Room Leader to join their dedicated early years team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner looking to take the next step in their career and lead a room in a supportive, child-centred environment.
Requirements
Qualifications:
* Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent.
* Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, and Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain).
Experience:
* Previous experience working with children aged 0–5 in an early years setting.
* Leadership or supervisory experience within a nursery environment is highly desirable.
* Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, safeguarding, and child development.
Key Skills:
* Confident leadership and team management.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* A nurturing, inclusive, and professional approach to early years education.
* Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities that support development.
* Strong observation and assessment skills, with a focus on individual learning needs.
Responsibilities
* Lead a designated room, supporting and mentoring early years staff.
* Create a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
* Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities in line with the EYFS.
* Conduct observations, assessments, and track children’s progress.
* Foster strong, professional relationships with children, parents, and carers.
* Ensure all safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed consistently.
