What you’ll do
In this role, you’ll join a friendly Legal Cashier team that plays an important role in the firm’s day‑to‑day finance function. You’ll be supported to:
* Process financial data accurately, including payments, receipts and client account transactions.
* Assist with bank reconciliations and other routine accounting tasks.
* Follow clear processes and procedures (including learning all about Solicitors Accounts Rules)
* Work with financial systems and spreadsheets to keep records up to date.
* Develop strong organisation and prioritisation skills in a busy environment.
* Support the wider Accounts team during peak periods when needed.
* Commit to a fixed‑term contract of 8 months, contributing consistently throughout.
What we’re looking for
This role would suit someone who is detail‑oriented, comfortable with accurate data entry, and keen to develop their finance experience. You don’t need specific financial experience – we’re happy to consider candidates with a love for numbers, and transferable admin skills who are keen to learn and develop. You’ll need:
* Previous office experience in an administrative, accounts, finance or data‑entry focused role.
* An interest (or experience) in numbers, finance or working with financial data.
* Strong attention to detail and a careful, methodical approach to work.
* Confidence following processes and handling repetitive tasks accurately.
* Basic to intermediate IT skills (Excel, Outlook and Word).
* Good organisation skills and the ability to work to deadlines.
* Clear, professional communication skills.
* A positive attitude and willingness to learn within a supportive team.
