Job Title: Contentious Probate Solicitor Location: Luton Are you an experienced Contentious Probate Solicitor looking for your next career move in the Luton area? The Role: As a Contentious Probate Solicitor, you will become an integral part of a busy fee-earning team, managing a varied caseload and developing strong client relationships. This role is ideal for a solicitor with at least 3 years’ PQE in dispute resolution, with a focus on contentious probate matters. Your key responsibilities will include: Developing your own portfolio of clients through effective marketing, networking and cross-referrals Managing a range of dispute resolution matters, including court proceedings, providing clear legal advice in writing, by phone, and in meetings Undertaking advocacy where appropriate Ensuring strict compliance with policies, procedures and Lexcel standards Managing client expectations and mitigating risks Handling new client enquiries and ensuring excellent conversion rates Efficient case and file management Supporting and mentoring more junior colleagues Keeping up to date with CPD and changes in the law Contributing to marketing initiatives such as webinars and podcasts Representing the firm at charity and networking events About You: To succeed in this role, you will have: A minimum of 3 years’ post-qualification experience in dispute resolution, with contentious probate experience being highly desirable A genuine pride in delivering high-quality legal work Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build rapport with a wide range of clients and colleagues Strong IT skills, including proficiency with case management systems and Microsoft Office The ability to manage your workload efficiently and meet deadlines and targets A flexible and collaborative approach, able to work independently and as part of a team Excellent file management and organisational skills What’s On Offer?
