Retail Team MemberFountains Abbey shop is an important part of the overall visitor experience, you’ll develop your knowledge of the site and retail at the National Trust. The shop is a busy and varied environment stocking a range of products across multiple departments, including plants and outdoor garden stock. You’ll join a team of hard-working, outgoing, and friendly staff and volunteers. This role reports to the Retail Manager. You’ll have high standards of presentation in the shop and plant centre while providing excellent service to all customers. You’ll also be able to talk to them about how everything they buy helps to fund the work of the National Trust. Other duties include receiving and unpacking deliveries, creating and maintaining displays and keeping the shop floor and our storage facilities clean, tidy and organised. This is an active role which involves working both inside the shop and outside in our plant centre and courtyards.Whilst this role will support the whole retail operation, there will be a focus on the outdoor areas, looking after our plants and garden stock such as pots, mirrors and stakes.
