Room Leader (Level 3) – Montessori Nursery – Wembley HA9
Salary: £29,000 – £32,000
Location: Wembley, HA9
Hours: 40 hours per week (Rotating early & late shifts between 7:30am – 6:30pm)
Rooms: Toddler Room – 15 children
VD Recruitment is proud to partner with a leading group of independent Montessori nurseries in the Wembley & Harrow area. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Level 3 Nursery Room Leader to join their dynamic team at an Ofsted-rated ‘Good’ setting.
Key Responsibilities for the Nursery Room Leader
• Lead and support your room team to ensure smooth, effective day-to-day operations.
• Care for children and meet their daily personal and hygiene needs.
• Ensure children are happy, settled, and engaged in their environment.
• Observe, assess, and plan for individual children’s needs to promote continuous development.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in line with EYFS and Ofsted requirements.
• Uphold the nursery’s policies and procedures.
• Share creative ideas and involve the team in classroom planning and activities.
• Delegate tasks effectively to team members.
• Build strong relationships with parents and children.
• Use the nursery app (training provided).
Ideal Candidate:
• Level 3 qualification in Childcare & Education (or equivalent) – essential
• Strong understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding practices
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality early years care and education
• Confident communicator with excellent verbal and written skills
• Able to lead by example and be a positive role model
• Good ICT skills
• Passionate, friendly, and professional
