Position Overview
Mediplacements are looking for an experienced Band 6 Biomedical Scientist in Haematology for a vacancy in Somerset. The pay for this position is up to GBP25 per hour, and we are looking for someone who can start as soon as possible for an ongoing duration.
Requirements
* HCPC registration
* Relevant experience in Haematology and/or Blood Transfusion
* Willingness to participate in shift work after orientation
* Strong technical and analytical skills
* Ability to work independently and authorise results
Responsibilities
* Performing and interpreting a range of laboratory tests on blood and other body fluid
* Maintaining and troubleshooting laboratory equipment
* Record keeping and quality control
* Providing results and advice to medical staff
* Participating in continuing education and training
The ideal candidate will be HCPC registered and fully competent in Haematology, Coagulation and Blood Transfusion, and will be able to work effectively as part of a team as well as independently.
