An exciting opportunity has arisen for a CFD Modelling Engineer to join a leading consultancy's specialist CFD team.
This role is ideal for those with a strong understanding of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), seeking to apply their expertise in fire modelling. No prior fire engineering experience is required, as full training will be provided.
The CFD Modelling Engineer's Role
The CFD Modelling Engineer will play a key role in assessing smoke and heat movement in built environments, helping to shape fire safety strategies.
Working within a skilled team, they will build computational models, run fire scenarios, analyse outputs, and produce detailed technical reports.
* Constructing accurate 3D computational models for fire and smoke movement analysis.
* Validating models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
* Running CFD simulations to assess heat and smoke spread.
* Producing clear, detailed reports on CFD results.
* Using key software such as FDS/Pyrosim, CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
The CFD Modelling Engineer Will Have?
1. A strong understanding of CFD modelling, ideally with experience in fire or environmental applications.
2. Proficiency in FDS/Pyrosim, CAD, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
3. The ability to construct and validate computational models.
4. Strong analytical and pr...
