We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established children’s care organisation for an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join a 6-bed residential home in the Heathrow area of West London supporting children and young people with learning disabilities. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated senior residential childcare professional who is looking to progress their leadership career while making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable young people. The Role Reporting directly to the Registered Manager, the Deputy Manager will support the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring a high standard of care and a safe, supportive environment for the children. You will play a key role in motivating staff, maintaining regulatory standards, and promoting positive outcomes for young people. Key Responsibilities * Support the Registered Manager in the daily running of the home * Provide leadership, supervision, and guidance to the care team * Ensure the home operates in line with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures * Support and empower children with learning disabilities to reach their full potential * Promote a nurturing, structured, and positive living environment * Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and behaviour support strategies * Maintain effective communication with families, social workers, and external professionals * Step into a leadership role in the absence of the Registered Manager Requirements * Previous experience working in children’s residential care * Experience supporting children with learning disabilities * Experience in a senior support worker or team leader role within a residential setting (desirable) * Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People’s Residential Care (or equivalent) * Willingness to work towards Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management * Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills * A genuine commitment to improving the lives of children and young people What’s on Offer * Salary up to £35,000 per annum * Opportunity to join a supportive and established care provider * Career progression opportunities * Ongoing training and professional development Apply Now If you are an experienced residential childcare professional ready to take the next step into a leadership role, we would love to hear from you.
