Overview
HR Services On-Boarding Administrator role at Wellcome Sanger Institute. This is a part-time (30 hours per week) fixed term contract of 12 months to cover a period of maternity leave.
What You'll Be Doing
* Administer employee on-boarding activity, such as creating offers of employment, conducting right to work checks, referencing, etc., in accordance with established practices, processes, system procedures and service level agreements.
* Produce accurate correspondence by proactively verifying incoming information to ensure clarity and accuracy.
* Ensure new starter onboarding requirements and tasks are completed within established timeframes.
* Conduct data validation checks to ensure data held is accurate and up to date.
* Manage the central HR Services mailbox and provide employees with quality guidance on queries in line with procedures.
* Regularly generate reports (e.g., headcount, absence, benefits) within the system.
* Contribute to the improvement of HR processes and procedures.
* Cross-trained in key employee changes processes to support service delivery.

* Demonstrable administration experience, ideally in an HR environment.
* Diligent with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure with conflicting demands.
* Adept at handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines.
* First-rate customer service skills.
* Strong numerical aptitude.
* Well-developed IT skills, proficient with Excel and HR systems.
* Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Maintains optimism while navigating changing environments and is highly discreet with confidentiality.

Our HR Services team delivers a people-centred, professional and efficient service, including administration of on-boarding, lifecycle changes and payroll processing, while providing comprehensive first-line advice on HR policies, pay and benefits.
Other Information
* This is a part-time role (30 hours p/w). Hours may be worked across four or five days via a flexible working arrangement. The non-working day should not be Wednesday or Friday. Please indicate preferred working hours in your covering letter.
* Salary in the region of £27,000 - £30,000 (pro-rata).
