An opportunity has arisen for a Construction Lawyer to join a modern, people-focused firm offering high-quality work, genuine client exposure and a clear platform for progression.
The role sits within the firm’s broader real estate offering, which has particular strength in development and corporate occupier matters. The construction team is highly regarded for its work on complex, design-led projects, with a strong focus on advising occupiers and supporting sophisticated development work.
This is a predominantly non-contentious position with exposure to high-quality matters across a diverse client base, including developers, corporate occupiers, landlords, tenants, lenders and consultants. The team is particularly active in office HQ relocations, fit-outs, mixed-use developments and refurbishment projects across sectors such as retail, hospitality and leisure.
You will advise on the full lifecycle of construction projects - from procurement strategy through to completion - working closely with real estate colleagues and other specialist teams to deliver commercially focused advice. The work will include drafting and negotiating building contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC), consultant appointments, collateral warranties and associated security documentation, as well as supporting on development transactions, agreements for lease and licences to alter.
There is also scope to be involved in risk management and dispute avoidance, with some exposure to contentious matters where relevant.
