Location: On site at SAMS, Dunbeg, Argyll. Contract Type: Casual Hourly rate: £12.60 per hour Closing date for applications : Monday 8th September 2025. The Role We are looking for an individual who already is already a cleaning operative who may be looking for occasional hours. Initially, the request is short term; to cover planned absences but we may review thereafter as to whether we will have a requirement to continue the arrangement to support SAMS over busy times and future absences. The initial period of support we will require includes the following: Period of cover : 29/09/25 to 10/10/25 inclusive – 10 working days. Working hours : 15 hours per week. Suggested working pattern : 3 hours per day, Mon-Fri. Work pattern : Flexible. The 3 hours can be carried out any time between the hours of 1000 – 1700 hrs each day. There will be additional hours in addition to the above stated for training/job shadowing. These will be agreed with selected individual but must be carried out prior to starting work with us. Overalls will be provided, where required. The post will sit within our Facilities Department and will be responsible for maintaining a clean, hygienic and safe environment across the SAMS estate. You will be able to follow defined cleaning schedules and procedures, able to work independently as well as part of a cleaning team. Our Ideal Candidate Ideally, you will already have experience of working in a cleaning operative role. You will be friendly, flexible and a good team player, helping other team members, as required.
