The administration role within Talybont Surgery is extremely varied and no two days will be the same. You will be expected to support the administration team in the wise range of tasks, completing them to a high standard with efficiency. During your role, you will work with all departments to ensure a smooth running of the practice and excellent patient care.
Main duties of the job
summarise medical records
scan, file and code patient letters while recognising when clinical input is required
Download and allocate patient results
Complete task actions in a timely manner
Assist in the completion of non-NHS letters and forms
Assist in the planning of the appointment diary
Process medication requests
Make and receive calls with patients, staff and third parties in a friendly, helpful manner
Assist with sending referrals
Provide receptionist cover when required

Talybont surgery is a friendly, progressive, partner led GP Practice based on the boundary between Swansea and Carmarthenshire. We have a list size of approximately 10,000 patients. We are a close-knit team with 4 Partners, Salaried GPs, a pharmacy team, a Mental Health Practitioner and a nursing Team. Our administration and Reception teams are both supported by dedicated Head of Departments as well as the support of the Practice and Assistant Practice Manager.

We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Medical Administrator to join our close-knit team at Talybont Surgery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice by managing the vast range of administration tasks. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent organisational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. As a Medical Administrator, you will be responsible for a range of tasks so each day is different. Your contribution will be vital in supporting our clinical team and enhancing patient care.

Experience
* Experience working within a GP Practice
* Use of Microsoft Office
* Experience using the following systems:

* Medlink
* iGPR
* Experience with administration tasks as outlined above
* Additional Criteria
Qualifications
* GCSE grade C+ in English and Maths
* Business Administration Level 2+ or similar
