An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic,innovative and forward thinking individual to join our Practice Education andDevelopment team at County Durham and Darlington NHS Foundation Trust.Education is a key priority to the Trust and the aim of the Practice PlacementFaciitator is to enhance the quality of learning for students and supportpractice-based assessors in their role.
Main duties of the job
To work collaboratively with the existing team and widerworkforce to ensure that students have the best possible learning environmentand experience.
Enhance practice learning environments by expanding clinicalpractices identifying new areas in which students can meet their objectives andto improve the exerience of the students.
To promote a culture of positive learning environments wherestaff development is encouraged and supported and clearly promotes and supportthe CDDFT behaviours and values.
To support and develop an effective competent workforce todeliver high quality, safe and compassionate care.
To manage the processes to ensure that students haveadequate support, supervision and assessment across the Trust is in alignmentwith the relevant standards.
To manage any concerns raised
Attend local schools and colleges to promote the health careprofession.

We provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham. We have a centre for planned care in Bishop Auckland and provide care from community hospitals in Chester-le-Street, Shotley Bridge, Barnard Castle, Sedgefield and Weardale as well as over 80 other community based settings and providing care in patients' homes.
