Red Rock Partnership are delighted to be working with our prestigious client in Leeds LS9 who are looking for Trainee Lamination Operator to join their busy team.
About The Role
Your main responsibilities are to operate the laminating machine confidently and proficiently, as part of the secondary print environment, whilst adhering to the strict Health & Safety regulations and upholding the companies' quality standards.
This is a temporary to permanent contract.
Working a continental shift pattern Monday to Friday on a rotation of Mornings 7am to 7pm and Nights 7pm to 7am.
Pay Rate: £14.99 per hour. Overtime is paid at 1.5x the standard working hours.
Roles and Responsibilities
* Responsible for running one of the company's lamination machines
* Ability to operate all machines within the dept
* Ensure the correct works ticket is being used prior to Lamination
* Ensure all documentation is correctly filled out and signed on work tickets on completion of required Lamination job
* Understand the use and need of Radius system
* Ensure working area is clean, tidy and obstruction free
* Embrace continuous improvement initiatives
* Communicate with Lamination Manager or Team Leader any defaults
* Operate in line with site health and safety, environmental and quality standards
* Organise your workload in line with the daily print programme, ensuring work is delivered against targets and customer requirements
* Ensure that all established quality standards are met
* Assist with production operations as required including maintenance and upkeep of relevant equipment
* Ensure that Lamination is organised in line with the production schedule
* Check orders, process control, paperwork and requirements in advance of the plan, to enable production to operate effectively. Notify the Team Leader immediately of anything missing
* Provide overtime cover as necessary and reasonable
* Follow cleaning regime and ensure all documentation is completed
* Undertake reasonable requests as directed by management
About you
* Previous experience in a production environment is essential
* Exposure to quality, health, safety and environmental standards and practices within a production setting
* Reliable, motivated, and enthusiastic about producing a quality finished product to customer specifications
* Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and meet demanding deadlines
* Ability to work as part of a team and manage workload, operate machinery to allocated schedules without direction
* Keen to learn new skills and demonstrate a flexible attitude
* High level of attention to detail, including numeracy skills
* Personal accountability and a 'right first time' approach
* Preferred mechanical knowledge would be of benefit
