Job Title: Warehouse Manager
Shift: Monday – Friday – 37.5 hours per week (flexibility required to work with teams across all shifts)
What does the role entail?
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you will assume full operational responsibility for the Warehouse Department. You will be responsible for all aspects of the Stores areas, to ensure that the safety, quality and legality of the products are always achieved and maintained to the highest standards. To carry out the daily duties of the Store department to meet the requirements established by management, whilst working in accordance with H&S regulations, food safety legislation and quality standards specified by our customers.
What are the key responsibilities?
· Co-ordinate operatives' activities to ensure they are fully trained for the tasks they are undertaking and where necessary take an active part in the training of operators.
· Be responsible for maintaining high standards if housekeeping and hygiene.
· Assist the Manufacturing Manager and liaise with HR, where appropriate, in managing employee relations issues effectively.
· Carry out daily stock take of all products, record and distribute to relevant third parties.
· Ensure you report any equipment problems whether electrical, mechanical or damage.
* Accurately and clearly process pack out figures from the previous day for Managers and Team Leaders.
* Ensure all goods in are handled, checked and booked onto navigation systems and relevant paper forms.
* Carry out a full site stock take for the purchasing department.
* Communicate logistically regarding collections and deliveries.
* Ensure all pallets are labelled correctly and appropriately segregated.
* Keep Front Line Managers and Production Team Leaders up to date with stock levels.
* Ensure that all personnel pursue safe working practices.
* Operating and Maintaining Stores equipment and vehicles (i.e. Fork Lift trucks).
* Disposal of Waste product and Packaging into the Waste Skips and confirmation of accurate reporting levels
* Responsibility for the implementation of the RSPO (Roundtable of Sustainable Palm Oil) procedure
Who are we looking for?
You will have previous experience of leading a team and have an understanding of Health & Safety and Hygiene Standards. You must be good with numbers and be an excellent communicator with good planning and administration skills.
You should be PC literate with intermediate Excel skill and have Counterbalance and Reach Truck Forklift driving experience. You will be a positive role model, setting the standards for behaviour and company compliance.
Other transferrable skills such as problem-solving, attention to detail and flexibility are key to success of this role.
