We are currently recruiting for a Senior Payroll Administrator to join a busy HR Operations team within a central government environment on a 6-month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in delivering payroll and HR operational support within a fast-paced, structured setting.
You will support the delivery of payroll and HR administrative services across the employee lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and excellent stakeholder engagement.
Key responsibilities
* Supporting matrix management of a small team of HR Advisers
* Assisting with weekly and monthly payroll processing
* Maintaining and updating data within the HR Information System
* Monitoring HR case trackers to ensure actions remain on track
* Resolving transactional HR queries and managing escalated issues
* Ensuring GDPR compliance and protection of sensitive personal data
* Researching and recommending solutions to meet business needs
* Strong Google Workspace and Microsoft Office skills
* Experience within HR Operations and payroll environments
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and customer service skills
* Ability to work flexibly in a fast-paced operational role
