Clinical Nurse Specialist (RMN) - Core & Eating Disorders (Permanent, Part‑Time 30 hrs/wk, Hybrid).
Salary: £47,307 – £54,710 per annum, pro‑rata based on 30 hrs/wk, dependent on experience.
Working arrangement: Hybrid – based at Stockport Head Office; clinical support to Yorkshire sites. On‑site during working hours as required, with flexible home‑working around these times.

Main duties of the job
Care in Mind is a CQC‑registered specialist service providing NHS‑funded intensive mental health packages and residential placements for complex young people aged 16‑30, often transitioning from inpatient or secure settings. The Post Holder will play a key role in assessments, treatment and multidisciplinary team work.
Key responsibilities include:
* Specialist assessment and treatment of young people, using psychological assessments, self‑report measures, rating scales, direct and indirect structured observations, and interviews.
* Providing weekly 1:1 sessions, supporting recovery‑focused goal setting and Care Programme Approach evaluation.
* Supporting therapeutic group work and delivering training to the residential team.
* Working autonomously within professional guidelines, contributing to reflective practice sessions, and ensuring evidence‑based interventions.
* Participating in risk management, case formulation and multidisciplinary core team activities.
* On‑call duties (nights and weekends) and duty cover during office hours.
* Stakeholder engagement, screening referrals, assessing new clients, and delivering training.
* Line‑management supervision of multi‑agency professionals and supporting systemic growth through working parties.
* Conducting qualitative and quantitative audits, using outcome measures to improve practice and clinical governance.
* Providing advice and consultation within the wider MDT and engaging in joint assessments with team members.
Qualifications and Requirements
Essential:
* Registered Nurse (RMN)
* Band 6 or above experience
* Legislative knowledge and experience
* Evidence of continued professional development
* Experience with young people with complex mental health difficulties and neurodiversity
* RNLD with relevant experience in mental health/trauma‑informed care
* Experience with nursing interventions for young people with eating disorders or willingness to train towards this
* IT literate (Microsoft Office) and ability to work remotely with Teams/Zoom
* Access to a vehicle for work purposes and ability to travel to Care in Mind portfolio sites
Desirable:
* Accredited safeguarding qualification
* Case management experience within a health and social care setting
* Experience in a community setting
* Experience in a secure setting
* Understanding of clinical issues related to eating disorders
